Salam Maulidur Rasul,   

Today Azam was supposed to write this entry, but due to some difficulty he can’t do it. He is probably still stuck in traffic jammed right now. Azam has promised to buy me Sate Willy Kajang if I help him so.. Sate Willy onss!!! Hehehe suka hati aku je Sate Willy.. So tomorrow will be his turn.

My previous entry was about Pasta Seafood Olio. Today’s dish is quite similar. I bought quite a lot of mussels last time for my Seafood Olio and I still have the balance of it. So I’ve decided to try new dish, something new which I never did or think of if before. So you can consider this one is a new food invention LOL! A spaghetti ala bolognese but with Mussels. I called it “Spaghetti Mussels Express” (bukan muscle ye!) Why Express? Becoz memang saya buat ni secara express. I still have Pasta Tomato Sauce which I bought last time for the Stuffed Mushroom, and also the extra spaghetti. So I used back all the ingredients. One additional ingredient is minced beef.

Ok here are the ingredients:
1. Spaghetti
2. Mussels
3. Minced Beef
4. Garlic clove (crushed)
5. Pasta Sauce Tomato
6. Black pepper
7. Oregano
8. Olive Oil
9. Salt


Bring the water and boiled. Add the pasta to the boiling water. Add salt to the boiled water. Cook pasta until 'Al-dente'. Drain the pasta and separate it.

Heat olive oil in a medium heat. Add in garlic and cook until golden color. Add in pasta sauce. Add in  Mussels and minced beef. In this dish I used minced beef just enough to give a bolognese feel to it because my Mussels mestilah menjadi hero dalam masakan ni. Kan? Cook slowly with medium heat. Add seasoning - black pepper, oregano and salt. Secukup rase.

Add spaghett to the mix, and cook slowly. Done! Express tak?


It’s quite unusual to taste spaghetti bolognese with seafood, but why not we try something new right?!

Pasta Mola

Salam & good day,   

15 dishes/recipes are already published and another 350 will be coming here one by one until the last day of 2013. What do we get? Nothing. Make a recipe book from this blog? Hmm..maybe. But that doesn’t matter. What really matter is you guys enjoy this blog and I am more than happy if you feel so and benefited something from this blog :)

So today, my 4th dish of the year is “Pasta Mola". What is Mola? Who is Mola? Hehe. She’s my wife and she’s the one who came up with the dish for the first time few years back, and I just copied the same way she prepares the food without any additional stuff or ingredients (or maybe I like it to be more salty) but I just love the original recipes, thanks to Mola I love you!

The ingredients are pasta (spirals), chicken fillet, 1/2 cup olive oil, garlic (minced), capsicum (different type taste better) black pepper and salt. That’s it.




For this pasta, you need to prepare 3 things and these 3 will be mixed on a later stage.

1. Chicken
2. The Pasta
3. Olive Oil with Garlic

Firstly the chicken part. On a medium pan, cook chicken fillet with olive oil. Cook until tender, mix with black pepper and salt to taste. Separate the chicken.

Secondly, the pasta. Bring the water and boiled. Slowly add the pasta to the boiling water. The water must be enough to boil the pasta, if not the pasta will be sticky. If you are not sure, just look into the pasta packaging “How to cook pasta” hehehe. Add in some olive oil and lil bit salt to the boiled water. The only way to tell if the pasta is fully cooked is to taste it. It should be 'al-dente'. Drain the pasta and put in the large bowl.

Third one, olive oil. Heat the olive oil in a small pan. Stir in minced garlic. When garlic turns to a golden color, remove pan from the heat.

Final step, pour the olive oil with garlic just now to the pasta bowl. Mix it. Add in chicken. Mix again. Add in capsicum, black pepper and salt to taste. And its ready to be served!

 

Pasta Mola sangatlah sesuai untuk disediakan pada bila-bila masa atau sambil menonton Final Maharaja Lawak hari Jumaat ini.. sambil ketawa riang ria sambil makan Pasta Mola! Haha.... kan?!
